Magellium Artal Group is an SME with almost 300 engineers and PhDs, providing its customers with image processing and scientific, software and technical engineering solutions for both civil and military applications.
For 26 years, we have been offering high value-added solutions, mastering all image data processing technologies and developing and maintaining complex software tailored to our customers' needs. With 10% of our sales devoted to R&D, our commitment to innovation has shaped our reputation with major national, European and international players.

A Franco-Swiss network
The company has a presence in both France and French-speaking Switzerland, thanks to three strategic sites.
Toulouse, known as Europe's space capital and the international capital of aeronautics, is home to our head office, anchoring our presence at the heart of the aerospace industry. In Paris, our site strengthens our proximity to partners and customers, fostering national and international collaborations. Our acquisition of a stake in GeoDataSolutions (GDS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, a GIS specialist, expands our presence outside France.
This alliance of three sites enables us to provide innovative solutions for our customers in France and abroad.

1998
Artal Technologies, a spin-off from Matra Espace, is founded by two engineers, Pierre Duverneuil and Raphaël Giraud. From the outset, the company focused on the development of software components for real-time space and aeronautical systems.
Major commercial development with the acquisition and retention of well-known customers such as Airbus, Thales Alenia Space, DGAC and DGA. During this period, sales grew by more than 10% a year, reaching €6 million and some 60 employees.
Artal Technologies continues to go from strength to strength. The certifications necessary for credibility are obtained, such as ISO standards and Defense confidentiality. The FGD holding company is set up, which has become necessary for structuring and external growth, including the acquisition of ACT21, positioned in CSR software.
2016
Integration of Magellium (founded in 2003), an imaging specialist. The whole becomes a player combining real expertise in software engineering and image processing. Magellium Artal Group becomes a credible supplier to customers in the space, defense, energy and public sectors. With 200 employees, the new Group has European ambitions.
After a structuring phase and a move to a new 3500 m2 building in Toulouse, the group acquired a reputation in Europe and even beyond, in the space and defense sectors. With over 300 employees, the company continues to grow successfully and profitably. In 2020, a minority fund acquired a stake in the Group to help it pursue external growth. In 2022, the Lausanne-based Swiss company GeoDataSolutions joined the Group.
The Group is planning an ambitious and reasonable development, respecting delivery quality, profitability and ethical and sustainable development commitments. After some successes, the Group's commercial ambitions are focused on Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the USA.
